After a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore available until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by a specialized software company over the years, the complete package is valued at more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are multiple package options offered in this deal.
The big draw is definitely permanent access to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application which enables users to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.
An imaginative landscape chart created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.
The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.
The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars offers enhanced value through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.
Starting at thirty dollars, the 39-item bundle includes all the following:
All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual come with this bundle, alongside a slew of additional tools and content that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, underground complexes, cities, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection is so worth it, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The sole limitation is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable with Windows systems.
Similar to previous bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. Package customization options appear near the page top, but you can also select any amount for a donation on the right side of the page. There's also an "Adjust Donation" drop-down just below that, allowing you to adjust the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
